Hi, You're receiving this email because {name} thinks the Colgate My First Toothpaste would interest you.
Features
My First Colgate Toothpaste was formulated to meet the special toothpaste needs of infants and toddlers. As the taste of adult toothpastes can be too strong for young mouths, Colgate has reduced the level of flavouring and foaming agents in My First Colgate.
My First Colgate contains less fluoride (500 ppm) , please note NZ Ministry of Health (2009) guidelines:
Recommendations
Toothpaste should be labelled in ppm fluoride
Toothpaste of at least 1000 ppm is recommended for all ages and should be used twice daily
Parents and caregivers should be advised that a smear of fluoride toothpaste is recommended until 5 years old. From 6 years, a pea-sized amount should be used
For children aged under 6 years living in fluoridated areas who are at low risk of dental caries, fluoride toothpaste less than 1000 ppm may be considered to reduce total fluoride intake
In deciding whether to provide low fluoride toothpaste, parents and caregivers should be advised of the issues associated with reduced fluoride exposure (lesser dental caries protection) versus the risk of fluoros
is
Children should be supervised when using toothpaste
Toothpaste should not be eaten
Active Ingredient
0.11% w/w Sodium Fluoride (500 ppm F)
